Prepare Yourself for a Bigger, Better 2008! - Part 3

Today we're going to consider the notion of getting the right support team in place to help you achieve your  2008 goals.  Every successful person knows that they wouldn't be where they are without a team of helpful, supportive people.  Now, when I say team, I don't mean that you have to roll with an entourage 100 people deep.  I'm just saying that you should partner with people who can help  get you where you want to be.

Here are some things to consider when developing your support team:
  • Think about other people that have the same goals as you.  How can you share experiences to grow faster.  For example, if you wanted to learn to invest in the stock market, you could start an investment group.
  • Consider someone who is already in a position where you'd like to be.  Could that person be your mentor?
  • Determine if you have an unbiased person in your life who can give you honest feedback.  Sometimes friends and family tell us what we want to hear instead of what we need to hear.  In situations like this, it is important to consider adding someone to your life who can be fair and balanced like a professional coach.
Make sure to write down the actions you will take to create the right support team for yourself in this new year.  And, of course, check back tomorrow for the next tip to get you ready for a spectacular 2008!
